Biography
Dr. Brandon R. Peters is a board-certified neurologist and sleep medicine physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders, including insomnia, obstructive sleep apnea, circadian rhythm disorders, and narcolepsy. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and currently practices at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle.
Dr. Peters earned his medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University before completing residency training in neurology at the University of Minnesota. Following his residency, Dr. Peters completed fellowship training in sleep medicine at Stanford University’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. He also received specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I).
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Peters is widely recognized for his work in sleep education and research. He has authored multiple books on sleep health, written extensively about sleep disorders, and frequently lectures and contributes to media discussions about sleep science and insomnia treatment.
