Sleeptember may be over, but the search for a cure for sleep apnea continues

Efforts to research a cure for sleep apnea are ongoing at every level. The challenges include developmental better diagnostic strategies, improving the identification of biomarkers showing higher risk for sleep apnea, and much more research on pediatric sleep apnea to understand why it happens and how we can catch it early and reverse the processes that turn it into a chronic condition.

Disaster relief and sleep health: Share your experiences, tell us how we can help

We are here to help. Our CPAP Assistance Program has been mobilized to provide evacuees with much-needed PAP machines and supplies lost to the hurricanes.

We are also here to offer support through our A.W.A.K.E. groups for those who are struggling with other sleep-related problems, such as post-traumatic stress, aggravated health conditions like pulmonary hypertension (which disrupts sleep), and “painsomnia” caused by injuries sustained while fighting or fleeing Mother Nature in some form or another.
