Sleep deprivation makes job-related tasks more difficult and decision-making a nightmare. Without adequate sleep, we make mistakes, get into accidents, even sustain injuries. Ultimately, our job performance suffers. When our job performance suffers, the economy suffers, as well.
The US prides itself on its work ethic; it designated Labor Day in 1894 as a day of rest to honor that very work ethic. In 2017, we know that to achieve strength, prosperity and well being, as workers as well as citizens, we must all get a solid night’s sleep. Get your rest this weekend, and have a great Labor Day!
