CAP helps Joplin, MO, tornado victims

The American Sleep Apnea Association in cooperation with Prairie Home Medical of Tracy, MN, has established the CPAP Assistance Program (CAP) as a way to get gently used positive airway pressure devices into the hands of those who need a device, but for lack of insurance coverage or available funds cannot get one on their own.

CAP responded to an urgent need for machines from the victims of the devastating tornado that struck Joplin, MO, in May.

CAP shipped 30 ResMed legacy devices that had been donated by Total Sleep Holdings to the Freeman Health System of Joplin for the agency to distribute.

The CPAP Assistance Program is another example of how the American Sleep Apnea Association is making resources available to those that need them, as well as helping to keep usable equipment out of landfills.
